ALL ABOUT LIZ

I believe in photographs that bring you back—not just to how it looked, but to how it felt.

the Vision

You’re likely juggling more than you ever expected—full calendars, growing families, meaningful milestones unfolding faster than you can keep up with. You want photographs that honor this season, but the thought of planning one more thing can feel overwhelming. What you’re really hoping for isn’t perfection or performance—it’s images that feel true, unforced, and reflective of the life you’re building together.

That’s where I come in. I’m Elizabeth Nord, a photographer based in Franklin, Tennessee, and my role is to simplify the experience while elevating the outcome. I guide with intention, notice the quiet details, and create an atmosphere where you can simply breathe and be present. The result is imagery that feels natural yet refined—heirlooms that hold your story with care and become part of your family’s visual history, long after this season has passed.

Guiding you through this season - from first conversation to final heirloom

Hi, I’m Liz—a Nashville-based wedding and portrait photographer.

This experience is meant to feel like a deep exhale. From wardrobe guidance to artwork selection, each step is thoughtfully handled so you can slow down, feel at ease, and stay present with the people you love.

When what you wear feels right and the details are taken care of, something shifts. The focus moves away from getting everything perfect and toward simply being together in the moment.

Photographs are meant to live with you, not stay tucked away on a screen. Printed as albums or artwork, they become part of your home and your everyday life — seen often, shared freely, and returned to over time.

What matters most is that these memories don’t fade into the background of a busy life, but remain something you can hold onto — quiet reminders of love, connection, and the season you’re in, long after it has passed.

Here’s the thing,

Photography started as a way to remember. Noticing moments as they happened. Holding onto both milestones and the ordinary. Turning fleeting time into something that lasts.

Before this was my work, I was photographing friends and family, documenting travels, and paying attention to the details that tend to fade. After experiencing loss and seeing how easily photographs can disappear, that instinct deepened. These images matter more than we expect.

Today, I photograph weddings and families with care for what lasts. The quiet moments, the big emotions, the feeling of being truly seen. My clients return to their images again and again. Albums pulled from shelves. Photographs held onto as life changes.

This work is about trust. Creating space for you to feel at ease. Guiding you with calm intention, and making images meant not just for now, but for the generations who come after.

She helps to set up whatever you need to make your photo experience memorable and low stress. She has an amazing outfit collection for mom’s and babies. She arranged for hair and make up by request prior to photos which streamlined the process and made it so easy. One of the things that was very important is how quickly she gets you in for newborn photos.

Her studio is so beautiful and a nice calming environment for little ones.

Everyone absolutely adored her as a person and she was so fun with her ideas. She is so creative with the things she thought of for us to do, and they turned out to be the most gorgeous and stunning shots.

She has such a calming presence about her too which made our entire wedding weekend even easier with zero pressure or stress.

Read the Travel Stories

Whether it’s Europe for its culture and tradition, coastal towns for their ease and quiet, or cities built around food and connection, these places shape how I see the world—and how I photograph it. I’m endlessly inspired by destinations where craftsmanship, conversation, and history coexist with modern life, where nothing feels rushed and everything feels intentional.

Those experiences influence the way I work: observant rather than intrusive, composed but never rigid. I photograph with the same mindset I travel with—paying attention to atmosphere, emotion, and the in-between moments that give a place, or a season of life, its meaning.

If you value experiences, presence, and connection, you’ll feel right at home here—and I’d love to hear your story.
